The weather is showing its teeth this week, so forget those last ditch rafting plans and put on your autumn face. With a smorgasbord of indoor events coming up, Calgary’s literary scene has got you covered.
October 11th - 7:30pm
filling Station’s monthly Flywheel reading series will take place at Pages on Kensington next Thursday evening. This month’s event features Monica Kidd, Garry Morse, and Catherine Owen, with readings running the gamut from troubadours to ginger beer icons to poignant fish poems.
October 9th – 14th
Finally, Wordfest runs from October 9th to 14th, featuring over 70 writers at more than 65 events. filling Station alumni Kris Demeanor, Sheila E. Murphy, Sandy Pool and Jeremy Tankard will join many others in a celebration of the power of story.
