Caitlynn Cummings joins filling Station

After a long search both within and without the Collective, Board President Colin Martin and Managing Editor Laurie Fuhr found a great candidate in Caitlynn Cummings, a clever and precocious self-starter with a considerable and impressive history of arts volunteerism already. Caitlynn has begun onboarding with fS, and at the end of the year, Laurie will move to the Board where she'll continue to work on fS fundraising and projects.

Here is a little more about Caitlynn, in her own words.

Caitlynn Cummings cultivated a love for the prairies among the wheat
and barley of her Albertan family farm. Also planted there was her
love of the word. She hurtled through books for the MS Read-A-Thon,
often deep into the night by flashlight, and got lost in worlds of
fantasy (Avalonian, Tolkienian, C.S. Lewisian?, etc.). This word-love
grew in genre and scope into a BA in English at the University of
Alberta, and an MSc in Creative Writing at the University of
Edinburgh. Now she is thrilled to be taking on the exciting role of
filling Station Managing Editor where she hopes to help budding
writers take root in our blossoming literary community and hopes not
to fatigue her collective with endless puns!

Please join filling Station in welcoming Caitlynn to the fold! For now, both Caitlynn and Laurie can be reached through
