MONICA KIDD’S most recent book is The Year of Our Beautiful Exile (Gaspereau Press, 2015). Her previous literary works include two novels, a book of non-fiction, and two collections of poetry, Actualities and Handfuls of Bone. She has worked as a filmmaker, a seabird biologist and as a reporter for CBC Radio, where her documentaries won numerous awards. Kidd lives in Calgary, Alberta, where, as well as writing, she works as a medical doctor.

S. R. RINGUETTE is a British/French-Canadian crossbreed that successfully reached maturity in the harsh (although friendly) climate of Western Canada. His mission has always been to create entertaining content in some form or another, and has been publishing his cartooning work online since 2007. He is the creator of multiple online web comics: Exploding Wumpus, The Aversion Bureau and Gamer Roommates. In the ephemeral moments between meeting cartooning deadlines and preparing for conventions, he has begun to write novels as well. He believes free time is a luxury afforded only to the sane.

STUART IAN MCKAY is a member of the Writers Guild of Alberta, the League of Canadian Poets and PEN Canada. He is a two-time winner of CBC's Alberta Anthology. Stuart's second book a cognate of prayer, a series of long poems about people living with disabilities, was published in 2013. Currently he is completing a third book of poetry, and collaborating with sound artist and poet Matt Smith to create a soundscape to accompany a cognate of prayer.
