Marta López-Luaces


Marta López-Luaces was born in 1964 in La Coruña, Spain. She is an Assistant Professor of Spanish and Latin American Literature at Montclair State University. She has published two volumes of poetry: Memories of a Void (Memorias de un vacio), Pen Press, 2000, New York; and Distances and Exiles (Distancias y destierros), El Trapecio, 1997, Chile. She has also published numerous critical works, including a book of critical essays, That Strange Territory (Ese extraño territorio), Cuarto Propio, Chile, 2001, which discusses the representation of childhood by various Latin American writers.
