Excerpt from "On High in Blue Tomorrows"
What husbands don’t want
As the tendons tauten on their buttons
A tall tall figure is brought to height
Fond tendons grotesque with longing
Dozing in the room beside the room smaller and fuller
The full room to her half room she who dozes
I grew up in harkening rooms you’ll see
