Kalef Albukrek

Lina Kohen Albukrek's daughter, Beki Bardavid, was surprised to discover, as an adult, three lost poems composed by her father, Kalef Albukrek, 1895-1985, whom she did not know wrote poetry. They seem to have been written of singing, and in fact one poem includes several stanzas from well-known Judeo-Spanish songs, strung together in the manner of the Turkish sharki genre. The other two poems are addressed to a personified "Kiss".
