Daisy Fried


Daisy Fried is the author of two books of poems, My Brother is Getting Arrested Again (University of Pittsburgh, 2006) and She Didn't Mean to Do It (U of Pitt, 2000), which won the Agnes Lynch Starrett Prize. She has been the recipient of Guggenheim, Hodder, Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, ad Pew Fellowships, and has received a Pushcart Prize and the Cohen Award from Ploughshares. She has taught creative writing at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Haverford College, University of Pennsylvania, Warren Wilson College's low residency MFA program and, most recently, as the Grace Hazard Conkling Writer-in-Residence, at Smith College. She lives in Philadelphia.
