Claude Margat was born in 1945. After studying philosophy and music, he taught for five years before moving for a time to Paris. Since then he has travelled widely, studied the art and thought of China, and become friends with the celebrated sinologist François Cheng. Along with writing several novels, poetry and his thoughts on art and philosophy, in 1991 he began painting in ink and has been widely exhibited in Paris and throughout France. He lives with his wife and son in Rochefort-sur-mer on the Atlantic coast of France. Two of his books, Skyward and In Silence are available from Pensum Press (contact firstname.lastname@example.org).
