Anne Germanacos' work has appeared in over eighty literary journals and anthologies. Her collection of short stories, In the Time of the Girls, was published by BOA Editions. She and her husband live in San Francisco and on Crete. 


Jibberish with a g?

Occasionally, you sprout wings.
A lizard would have been a pet to watch. A frog might have leapt from time to time.

That pause, the point—like a crack—where she placed her foot and found entrance.
We’re just an Adam and an Eve, who’ve tasted good things.
